Dr.Rahul Maruti Bankar has completed his graduation in Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H) in 2002 & Postgraduation-Master of Veterinary Science in Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology (M.V.Sc)  in 2005 from College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (COVAS) Parbhani, under Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) Nagpur Maharashtra.

He joined as a Scientist at National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), Experimental Animal Facility Pune in year 2006.

His main areas of work activities include : Designing & optimizing breeding schemes of nuclear colonies of Inbred, Knockout and transgenic mice lines. Maintenance and supply of quality laboratory animals for the ongoing research projects of the Institute. Health Monitoring, Veterinary care & husbandry of laboratory animals. Providing veterinary support to research scholars & staff in the conduct of animal experiments approved by IAEC as per the Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA) guidelines.
